FIRST STOP...

In this blog we are going to bring you along on our amazing journey through Canada and India. Before the travel we did some research on the different cultures and values in Canada and India. Our first stop is Canada, and we are so exited. Then we are taking the longest journey to the other side of the world, INDIA. We have so much to do in so little time, so we scheduled our time wisely. India, Canada and Norway are very different, but we saw more similarities between all the three countries after our journey.

PLACES OF INTEREST

Canada was amazing. We are now sitting at the airport waiting for our flight. Niagara Falls is one the most visited attractions in Canada and it also one of the biggest falls in the world. Niagara Falls is located on the border from Canada to the United States. The cool thing about it is that there is only a bridge crossing the two countries. Niagara Falls contains of three waterfalls; the American  Falls, Bridalveil Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. The vertical drop is one of the biggest and is 50 meter. The Horseshoe Falls is the largest one of them all. Niagara Falls was created for about 10000 years ago by glacier activity. This is one of the most visited attractions in Canada and has over 30 million people visiting every year. You can also take the trip underneath the falls and go on a boat ride in the lake. There are many amazing view spots on top of the falls, so that you get the best experience of the falls.

India is very famous for the Taj Mahal. It is one of the most famous mausoleum in the world. It was build in the 17th century by the emperor, Shah Jahan. It took 20,000 men and over 22 years to build the beautiful, white marble mausoleum. Today it is one of the worlds most celebrated structures and a reminder of the rich indian history. The Taj Mahal is located on the southern bank of the Yamuna river in Agra. Taj Mahal appears to change colors throughout the day, as sunlight and moonlight hit the surface of the palace. Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his own son in the Agra fort, where he remained for the 80 last year of his life. On the balcony he could look down on his beautiful Taj Mahal. Today you can also experience the amazing view from the balcony where Jahan died.

One of the most visited attractions in Norway is the North cape. The North cape is a cape on the Northest part of Norway. It is located on an island called Magerøya and is a big tourist attraction. You can find cafes, restaurants, post office and a souvenir shop there. On the top of the cape there is a sculpture and a panoramic view over the barentes sea. The main reason to visit the north cape is to watch the beautiful midnight sun go down The forces of the outer world naturally made the attractions in Canada and Norway. However the Taj Mahal is made by humans. They are all different, but come together and make the world a beautiful place. In their own way these three places are excellent tourist attractions and come together and make history.

I CAN BE YOUR HERO, BABY!

Terry Fox is one of Canada's most famous athletes. He was born in 1958 in Winnipeg. Terry became famous after his effort to run across Canada in 1980. He named the project "Marathon of hope" and started from the west coast of Canada in 1980. He had suffered from cancer for several years earlier and had to amputate his left leg. He trained himself for many months and wanted to complete the run to spread awareness around cancer research and to raise money. He had to give up after 143 days of running. Only one year after he died.
Mahatma Gandhi was an Indian peace-activist. Gandhi was born 1869 and was married to Kastruba Gandhi. He began his activism as an Indian immigrant in South Africa in the early 1900s, and in the years following World War I he became the leading figure in India’s struggle to gain independence from Great Britain. Gandhi`s main goal was to achieve equal rights for the citizens of India without using violence.
The similarities between Fox and Gandhi are that they both fought with all their heart for what they believed in. They wanted change and equality for all in their society. They both brought hope and joy in a gloom and sad world that characterized people’s everyday life. They gave hope of a brighter future to their fellow human beings.
Karpe Diem is a famous Norwegian rap duo. Recently they released their EP "heisann mintobell" with a strong focus on contemporary problems in our society, in particular the world’s refugee crisis. All of these heroes fight for change, trying to wake up people, to end injustice and promote a better world. They do what most of us don`t dare to do. They speak to the people, for the people.
